Flowline Alaska - Welding, Insulation, Corrosion Coating, for Oil Companies

lowline Alaska has been applying corrosion coatings to North Slope bound line pipe for over 12 years. Our facilities onsite are setup to apply a full range of corrosion coatings to steel line pipe and fittings. We have the capability to apply single and dual layer fusion bonded epoxy (FBE), inorganic zinc's, urethanes, mastics, and liquid epoxies. We have applied corrosion coatings for customers from a variety of manufacturers including Lilly., Herberts-O'Brien NapGard., 3M Skotchkote., Carboline, and Devoe.

Flowline maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance program which monitors all aspects of FBE and liquid coating applications following NACE, SSPC, CSA, and ASTM testing procedures. Flowline's Quality program is directed by an onsite Quality Assurance corrosion coating manual which details the application, inspection, and documentation of applied coatings.

The Quality Control Laboratory Manager, Coating Foreman, and Project Engineers at Flowline are NACE certified coating inspectors. In addition, all of Flowline's coating personnel have completed and maintain updated status in the State of Alaska's Painter Certification curriculum.

Flowline has a fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coating production line capable of coating 65,000 pounds of straight run line pipe per hour. (12,000 lf/day of 8" x 0.500" wt). Our FBE operation allows year round application with available coating thickness of from 3 mils (single layer) to 60 mils + (dual layer). Additional facilities are available onsite for the FBE coating of steel fittings.

Flowline also has the production capacity for applying liquid coatings with equipment onsite including a 10,000 ft3 ventilated paint booth; 10,000 ft3 steel grit blasting booth; 550 ft3 high temperature baking oven; two (2) screw air compressors supplying 1,000 CFM of dry, oil-free air; and a VOC reclaim distillation system to eliminate all solvent disposal and associated hazardous material handling requirements.
